What is the Asian elephant
The Asian elephant is commonly found in Southeast Asia. Asian elephants inhabit in the scrub forest especially in areas with grass, low woody plants and trees. The Asian elephant has been endangered since 1986. Asian elephants have been declining by 50% over the last 60-75 years. The reason for this is because of habitat loss, degradation and fragmentation. Humans are hunting elephants for their tusks and then selling the tusks for money.
